Data Architect
Title : Data Engineer / Architect - Data Catalog & SAP IntegrationStart Date : ASAPRate : $ NegotiableDuration : 6 months+Location : Remote, CanadaDescription : We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with experience in data cataloging tools and SAP.
In this role, you will play a key part in building and maintaining data infrastructure, with a focus on integrating SAP data sources and implementing an enterprise data catalog.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements.Design and develop data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from SAP systems in Big Query.
Work with the data catalog team to define and implement data quality standards and lineage tracking.Leverage data catalog features to enrich and curate data assets, including technical metadata, business descriptions, and ownership information.
Automate data processing tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL).Monitor data pipelines for errors and ensure data quality and integrity.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.Document data pipelines and processes for future reference.QualificationsMinimum 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
Experience with data cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra, data.world, Secodo).Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data quality principles.
Proven experience with ETL / ELT processes and data pipeline development.Experience with scripting languages like Python, SQL, and potentially SAP scripting languages (e.
g., ABAP).Experience with SAP systems (e.g., SAP S / 4HANA, SAP ECC) is a strong plus.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
