Middle School Guidance Teacher - 50%

Role Overview

To support our vision of empowered young women challenging and transforming the world, we are currently seeking a Middle School Guidance Teacher.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Dean of Students, Wellbeing and Inclusion, the Middle School Head, Middle School Assistant Head, Middle School teaching team, the Middle School Circle of Care team and will be responsible for the development and delivery of creative and innovative inquiry based programming, while meeting the individual needs of all students in the classroom.

Position Details

Department : Middle School

Reports to : Dean of Students, Wellbeing & Inclusion

Liaises with : Middle School Head, Middle School Assistant Head, Middle School Teachers, Middle School Circle of Care team

Education : Bachelor of Education, Ontario Teacher Certification

Experience : 3+ years experience teaching at Middle School grade level

Experience developing / implementing Project / Inquiry Based Learning

Guidance Additional Qualifications

Experience in a non-profit setting (asset)

Experience in an Independent School (asset)

Working Conditions : Office / School Environment, Mac, Google

Experience with developing innovative inquiry-based Guidance programming that challenges students with a variety of learning styles, interests and strengths.
