Position Overview

Calian Health Services is looking for a Certified Dental Assistant to join the dynamic dental team at CFB Esquimalt. In this role you’ll play a critical part in delivering quality care to the men and women of our Canadian Armed Forces. A unique opportunity to work alongside skilled dentists and dental hygienists as part of a close-knit team. This opportunity offers a steady and reliable daytime schedule, with no evenings, no weekends, and you’ll be off for all provincial statutory holidays. On top of that, we’re offering a comprehensive benefits plan, including drug coverage and paramedical service and paid time off. We’re offering a salary between $30 – $34.51 / hour. Responsibilities

• Assist dentists or other dental clinicians chairside in performing a wide range of dental procedures.
• Perform dental radiographs.
• Perform a wide range of dental laboratory procedures.
• Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments, equipment, and operating area.
• Maintain dental operating area and monitor consumable supplies.
• Provide administrative support as required.
• Other associated tasks relevant to this occupational group.
