Definition of Work :
The Food Operations Supervisor I coordinates and supervises the daily activities of employees engaged in food service operations for acute care clients and long-term care residents to ensure that all quality assurance and health and safety standards are met.
The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
Required qualifications :
- Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Education.
- Completion of a course in Food and Nutrition Management approved by Central Health.
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety in healthcare, clinical dietetics, and occupational health and safety legislation.
- Consistent demonstration of Central Health's corporate values; Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Stewardship and Quality.
- A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
- A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
Preferred qualifications :
Considerable supervisory experience in a health care food service setting.
Hours of Work : Call as Needed (Shift work may be required)
Salary : CG-28 ($24.86-$27.54) Non-Union, Non-management
