Our client is an established, well-respected industrial wholesale distribution organization that has successfully supported the residential, industrial and commercial mechanical markets for decades.

They have asked Cameron Lappin of Lock Search Group to assist in their search to find a highly motivated, innovative, and proven Branch Manager to lead and scale a high potential’ business unit.

This position will be initially based out of the Fraser Valley market, while working through an 8 to 12 month onboarding, training and socialization period, but will ultimately lead to an attractive relocation to the highly sought after Okanagan / Interior’ region .

To qualify for this unique opportunity, you would need to be based out of the Lower Mainland / Fraser Valley market. Please note, this is not a home-based opportunity .

As the Branch Manager, you will develop and lead both sales and operations team members within a strategic business unit.

You will directly manage your own sales and operations plan and maintain direct contact with the market. You will be responsible for hiring, training, and developing employees to create a high performing team, while developing, and implementing appropriate strategies to improve productivity, identifying new markets and increase market share profitably.

Other key responsibilities include P&L oversight, budget / expense control, inventory management, vendor relations, health and safety compliance, and key account sales development and managment.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Overall P&L responsibility and budget forecasting - understanding how the financials work and achieve sales, gross profit targets.
• Hiring, training and developing employees to create a high performing team.
• Developing and implementing appropriate strategies to improve productivity.
• Identifying new markets and increase market share.
• Direct experience with multi-department branch operations and warehousing including inside sales, administration, warehousing and logistics.
• Build a strong service and delivery team through recruiting, coaching, training and mentoring.
• Ensure all operations are managed safely and in accordance with the company’s stated values.
• Develop and maintain a strong customer service focus to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and growth.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Degree in Business or Operations is preferred
• experience leading a team within a fast-paced Wholesale Distribution branch’ setting is strongly preferred.
• possess mechanical aptitude and knowledge
• to strength existing operational procedures through continuous improvement initiatives and training.
• Standard Operating Procedures’, and ensure implementation is completed effectively with full buy-in and collaboration.
• experience in technical outside sales, and business development is also an asset.
• communication skills, both verbal and written.
• to lead by example, and physically support different departments in both sales and warehouse functions.
• relationship building and leadership skills ability to develop people professionally and personally.
