In business since 1960, FCC is an open shop, multi-trade, specialty contractor serving Atlantic Canada. Our three main operating divisions include : Construction Management, Electrical Contracting and Communication Cabling.
We are currently seeking applications from 3rd and 4th year Apprentice Electricians interested in joining our established teams in Charlottetown, PEI!
As an Apprentice you will work alongside a Journeyman Electrician, taking direction and accomplishing the tasks assigned to you each day.
You will learn how to :
- Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
- Install PVC, EMT and galvanized steel conduit systems.
- Install, replace, and repair distribution equipment and electrical controls such as switchboards, panelboards, and disconnect switches.
- Work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
Education & Requirements
- High school diploma or grade 12 equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License and vehicle.
- Must be able to work away from home as some jobs require to stay in hotels.
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Pay Scale
$22 - $25 per hour depending on block level
