Some of these include : Competitive compensationComprehensive benefits packageDefined Contribution Pension planVacationPersonal daysFlexible WorkplaceProfessional developmentHoliday closureSummer hour scheduleEmployee Transit EPass through Halifax TransitJob Information and ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Deputy Registrar, the Assistant Registrar - Student Systems will : Works closely with the Deputy Registrar, EIT, and other internal and external stakeholders to provide leadership on strategic and operational projects.Responsible for projects from a functional perspective and builds consensus on project requirements, outcomes, business process renewal and integration to student data and systems.Main point of contact for the EIT department in planning, prioritizing, review and assigning resources to projects.Responsible for the supervision of Functional Analyst group while creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.Delegates tasks and responsibilities, sets timelines and oversees day-to-day operations.Provides subject matter expertise on Student Systems, analytical tools and software to meet university's data needs, operationally and strategically.Provides knowledge support to Student Systems team on reporting tools and distribution platform as well as basic and advanced training to other stakeholders.Builds reporting and analytics to support university stakeholders and ensures that stored data is accessible to internal and external teams while responding to inquiries and requests for information from staff in a timely manner.Leads functional units through business process improvement initiatives to ensure best practices using tools and methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Agile Methodologies.Assists the Deputy Registrar in preparing, monitoring, and administering annual budget for the department, including staffing with signing authority for Student Systems Unit budget when required.Experience and Education RequirementsTo be the successful Assistant Registrar - Student Systems you will have : Undergraduate degree in a related field.Minimum three (3) to five (5) years directly related experience in Student Systems positions.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite.Practical Knowledge of Project Management with a professional Certificate / designation e.g. Project Management Professional is an asset.Knowledge of Ellucian Student Information Management System (Banner, CRM Recruit and Advise) is preferred.Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.Ability to make decisions and achieve goals in a high paced environment with multiple competing priorities.Cross-cultural working experience will be an advantage.Application DetailsApply for this opportunity online using our online application system through Career Beacon.
