Sr. Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript (Angular / React.JS) Developer to design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices for our Global Banking Client -
Location : Downtown Toronto (2 Days in Office)
Length : 6 Months (Expected to extend)
Must Have Skills :
- 8+ years of experience with Java (Spring Boot)
- 8+ years of experience with JavaScript (Angular / React)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
- Experience with PostgreSQL or SQL Server
- Banking / FI experience
Nice-to-haves
- Working experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Exposure to Angular / React / NodeJS will be a plus
- Experience in the skills following is beneficial : DevOps and CI / CD tools - Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform
- Geneos / Grafana Monitoring
Role Responsibilities include
- Work as a Senior Full stack Java developer with 8+ years of Experience developing both backend and UI modules.
- Build the components of Java based applications confirming to architectural principles laid out with sound design principles.
- Understands functional and technical requirements of software components.
- Work with development teams, UX designers, architects and product owners to ideate software solutions.
- Act as technology expert and the point of contact for all the application development related activities.
- Collaborate with local and onsite leads to prioritize and deliver required enhancements while maintaining high performance levels.
- Identify opportunities to automate, improve efficiency and optimize cost through business and process flow re-engineering and platform re-engineering leveraging in-depth understanding and executing projects using RPA, AI / ML and cloud adoption.
- Adopt Agile and DevOps methodologies in software development practices. Ensure automation tools are utilized throughout the life cycle.
- Develop and maintain an information repository of application material that can be accessed by team resources.
