Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Special Projects in Corporate Actuarial team , the Senior Actuarial Analyst will join an innovative, project-based team whose members have a mix of data science, predictive modelling, and actuarial expertise.
Our team collaborates to covert business needs and opportunities into automated solutions, improving the speed and quality of analysis performed within the department.
We support diverse projects at the Enterprise-level and within the Reserving, Planning, Capital Modelling, and Strategic Risk teams.
To thrive in this role, the Senior Actuarial Analyst requires a strong grasp of P&C actuarial concepts, relevant programming experience, and an ability to learn quickly.
The successful candidate will develop a firm understanding of Corporate Actuarial objectives and will build a strong skillset working with SQL, Python, process automation, cloud data platforms, and predictive modelling.
What can you expect in this role?
- Compile and categorize data from spreadsheets, databases and cloud platforms for valuation, planning, capital modelling, risk evaluation, and other analyses
- Create and evaluate predictive models in support of Corporate Actuarial functions
- Communicate actuarial concepts and make recommendations to Management both verbally and in writing with supporting documentation
- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of new automated processes for Corporate Actuarial teams
- Independently respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Perform peer reviews on the technical and qualitative analysis of peers and junior team members
What do you bring to the role?
- University degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or other technical discipline
- Completion of 4-6 exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong programming skills
- Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
- Team player, adaptable to a changing and fast-paced environment
Salary Range is $69,800 - $140,400.

In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in various incentive plans which are paid out at the discretion of the company and subject to individual and company performance.
