We are expanding, and we need a professional, permanent skilled trades worker to join our team! We are a very big branch and have multiple locations but we are looking for someone interested in our Abbotsford, BC location at this time.

In this role you would repair, maintain, calibrate, adjust, and install the dials, sensors and other instrumentation according to manufacturers specifications and troubleshoot and tune industrial processes.

These types of instruments are typically used for controlling factors such as : flow of gases or liquids; temperature of materials or stages of a process;

pressure maintained during a process, or level of a material used or created during a process. We are looking for someone certified but are mainly focusing on experience in these areas as an asset to this role.

Job Time : 4 : 00 PM 1 : 30 AM (OT available)

Wage offered : $48.88 to start (union)

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to assist in daily procedures and grow your knowledge
• install and repair process control instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers and control valves.
• Calibrate components and instruments
• Troubleshoot and tune industrial processes
• Diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and inspect and test instruments and systems
• There is some heavy lifting, bending, crouching, and walking in this role, daily

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Red Seal Certified
• Experience in the Industrial Food Industry or high speed packaging an asset
• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) training
• Excellent mechanical skills and ability to carry out general equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• You are seeking a full-time, permanent job. We need someone long-term
• Demonstrated leadership and work ethic
• Located in the Abbotsford, BC area, and can start within 2 weeks.
