Function of the role :

We are looking to grow our Sales Team with an ambitious and energetic Territory Sales Representative. The successful candidate should reside in the greater Montreal area with the responsibility of working with existing customers while actively looking for new opportunities within the wholesale, hardware, and lawn and garden sectors to grow overall territory sales.

We service a wide variety of customers; therefore, the Territory Sales Representative will work with a variety of different decision makers.

Main Responsibilities will include :

  • Calling on existing customers within the assigned region.
  • Work with wholesaler, hardware, retail stores, and lawn and garden centres.
  • Prospecting new customers weekly.
  • Prepare monthly sales call report and submit at the beginning of each month.
  • Attend monthly sales meeting via video conference call.
  • Present monthly sales specials and new items to each account.
  • Work with management to develop sales / marketing strategies and to penetrate new markets.
  • Meeting and exceeding monthly KPI’s and sales targets.

Essential Qualifications & Skills :

  • High energy with a can-do attitude.
  • General knowledge of hardware, wholesale and / or lawn and garden.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, or a technical discipline.
  • Ambitious career prospects looking for growth within an organization.
  • A passion for sales is a must.
  • Relationship building.

Desired Skills and Qualifications :

  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) coupled with heightened listening skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Working knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Motivated self starter with the ability to work on your own while also being a contributing member of a team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks on time.
