About You :

You will be a key part of growing our insurance platform, contributing to new features while keeping a high level of quality.

As a member of the team, you will use a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, PHP and React to build customer experiences across the web while allowing third parties to integrate into the platform.

In this role, you’ll get to experience :

• Work as a part of an agile development team, to design and implement a fully interactive, multi-page style web application, and web services
• Write unit and integration tests for your code
• Collaborate with the design and business team to translate mock-ups into a functioning web application that is accessible and responsive with exceptional usability
• Collaborate with the business team and provide insight on the best approaches to implement new features and improve existing ones
• Collaborate with testers in the development of test cases for JavaScript code
• Collaborate with product owners on user story generation and refinement
• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities with other developers

What you bring :

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with PHP and design patterns using the Laravel framework.
• 3-5 years of experience with React. Experience with Redux is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of React.js with a solid understanding of states and lifecycles of React components
• Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming and its application within the React framework, and MVC design pattern with a knack for writing efficient, scalable, and reusable code
• Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS 3, and related web technologies like Sass / Less, AJAX, and JSON
• Experience writing functional tests using web testing frameworks
• Experience writing queries in MySQL / PostgreSQL
• Experience writing unit tests
• Experience using Git and JIRA
• Experience with Linux and Selenium would be an asset
• PHP Unit experience
