We are recruiting for a Service Writer-Warranty Administrator . This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday.
Duties include :
- Efficiently manage, coordinate and schedule the field service technician’s time.
- Maintain the invoicing of work orders in a timely manner.
- Communicate with the customer in regard to quotes, job status and scheduling.
- Coordinate activities and cooperate with other departments to best serve the needs of the customers and employees.
- Handle warranty claims, including computation of charges, submission, and follow-up.
- Maintain service department files and records.
- Update customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders.
- Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealership’s area of responsibility.
- Maintain accurate and on-time reports relative to the service department’s operation.
- Ensure all charges related to work orders are posted properly and closed on a timely basis.
- Process warranty and product improvement claims and handle communications with customers in a professional manner.
- Proactively seek customer feedback, anticipate problems, and respond promptly.
- Review all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness concerning parts, materials, and labor, and approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customer.
- Assist with conducting and scheduling all in-house service technician training.
- Assist in the appraisal of repair work coming into the service department.
- Keep the operations manager apprised of all customer complaints.
- Meet with the operations manager to review department performance profitability, efficiencies, and personnel matters.
- Manage field and shop service technicians' time.
Qualifications :
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of service processes and procedures.
- Excellent oral communication and written skills.
- General understanding of mechanical / technical terms (preferred).
- Strong knowledge related to diesel or Ag technology (preferred).
- High school diploma or GED is an asset.
- Capable of lifting and moving packages up to 50 pounds daily.
- French-language ability is an asset.
