We are recruiting for a Service Writer-Warranty Administrator . This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday.

Duties include :

• Efficiently manage, coordinate and schedule the field service technician’s time.
• Maintain the invoicing of work orders in a timely manner.
• Communicate with the customer in regard to quotes, job status and scheduling.
• Coordinate activities and cooperate with other departments to best serve the needs of the customers and employees.
• Handle warranty claims, including computation of charges, submission, and follow-up.
• Maintain service department files and records.
• Update customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders.
• Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealership’s area of responsibility.
• Maintain accurate and on-time reports relative to the service department’s operation.
• Ensure all charges related to work orders are posted properly and closed on a timely basis.
• Process warranty and product improvement claims and handle communications with customers in a professional manner.
• Proactively seek customer feedback, anticipate problems, and respond promptly.
• Review all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness concerning parts, materials, and labor, and approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customer.
• Assist with conducting and scheduling all in-house service technician training.
• Assist in the appraisal of repair work coming into the service department.
• Keep the operations manager apprised of all customer complaints.
• Meet with the operations manager to review department performance profitability, efficiencies, and personnel matters.
• Manage field and shop service technicians' time.

Qualifications :

• Strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of service processes and procedures.
• Excellent oral communication and written skills.
• General understanding of mechanical / technical terms (preferred).
• Strong knowledge related to diesel or Ag technology (preferred).
• High school diploma or GED is an asset.
• Capable of lifting and moving packages up to 50 pounds daily.
• French-language ability is an asset.
