Position : Sr. UI / UX Designer to lead the design process from concept to implementation for a large banking client -
Duration : 1 year with possible extension
Location : Hybrid (Toronto / Montreal)
Must Haves :
- 5+ yrs exp designing UI / UX web-based software applications ; B2B / Fintech experience is a plus.
- 5+ yrs exp with Figma (building and maintaining a design systemand working with developers to maintain a design system)
- 5+ yrs exp with design specifications / dev handoff to include designs for (design system usage, interaction design, copywriting, i18n, a11y, error handling, and handling data variations etc.)
- HTML / CSS / JavaScript . (Strong prototyping and interaction design skills and / or graphic tooling)

Responsibilities :
- Lead the design process from concept to implementation.
- Conduct user research and apply insights to design.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes or mockups to effectively communicate designs.
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Effectively communicate designs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement them.
- Develop and implement design strategies aligned with product goals, standards and architecture.
- Develop, maintain, and scale the compass design system for use across product modules.
- Conduct usability testing, ensure accessibility, and mentor junior designers.
