Operating at the provincial level, our headquarters are strategically located in the heart of Saguenay. We boast a dynamic team of over 200 forestry workers, dedicatedly engaged during the peak season to carry out a variety of tasks related to forestry development.

Job Description :

In collaboration with the operations supervisor, the forestry foreman will be responsible for :

  • Managing a team of tree planters.
  • Supervising delivery personnel and operators, effectively planning tree deliveries.
  • Ensuring compliance with operational guidelines and current standards.
  • Ensuring optimal quality of work.
  • Overseeing the smooth execution of contracts.
  • Completing various production reports and maps.
  • Driving delivery pickups.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety rules.

Requirements / Qualifications

The ideal candidate should :

  • Have experience in reforestation or accumulate at least one year of experience in the forestry sector.
  • Hold a Vocational Studies Diploma (DEP) in forest management or a College Diploma (DEC) in forestry technology, or have completed relevant training (an asset).
  • Demonstrate leadership, autonomy, and precision.
  • Possess proven communication skills.
  • Be organized, dynamic, and have an excellent team spirit.
  • Enjoy working outdoors and demonstrate good physical fitness.
  • Know how to use Excel, a GPS, and forestry maps.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Possess skills in operating a skidder would be an asset.

Work Locations

Several contract locations available : Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Charlevoix, and Mauricie.
