Job Description

This rapidly expanding network of dermatology and multidisciplinary medical clinics has been dedicated to excellence since 1984.

Pioneering in its field, the group offers unparalleled expertise in skin health, dermatologic concerns, and a variety of cosmetic and aesthetic treatments suitable for all skin types.

MDSearch is currently in search of a passionate, full-time or part-time plastic surgeon to become part of a dedicated team in Calgary.

The Plastic Surgeon's primary role involves providing specialized care for patients with skin-related issues. Responsibilities include professional patient care, treatment planning, collaborating with referring physicians, coaching the nursing team, adhering to company policies, and fostering communication with patients and staff.

High-performing candidates may also have the opportunity for a medical directorship position or equity stake in the company.

Our efficient practice model provides clinicians with :

  • A dedicated team of 4-5 nurses and medical office assistants for streamlined patient care
  • Over five examination rooms dedicated for your practice

  • An administrative team to manage scheduling, referrals, human resources, and billing
  • A structure that minimizes paperwork for the physician, including charting and billing

Role Overview

The primary function of the Plastic Surgeon is to provide continued, specialized care to patients with skin related concerns.

The Plastic Surgeon's responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Provide professional patient care at all times and provide a friendly and inviting environment for patients
  • Conduct patient assessment, treatment planning and implementation, evaluation of treatments for effective outcomes
  • Provide consult notes to referring family physicians for new patients
  • Perform follow-up care for existing patients and / or refer to an internal general practitioner for continuation of care
  • Assist with coaching nursing team to be able to provide effective patient care
  • Participate in training and education opportunities provided by the company
  • Adhere to company policies and protocols
  • Work with marketing team to build and promote personal social media presence
  • Utilize exceptional communication skills to build relationships with both patients and employees
  • Potential opportunities for the right candidate may include a medical directorship position and / or equity stake in the company

Role Qualifications

  • Current College of Physicians of Alberta (CPSA) License
  • Current and active FRCSC certification
  • A strong passion for the medical, surgical, and cosmetic field
  • Certifications for lasers, Botox, and / or dermal filler an asset, but not required
  • Prior experience in the cosmetic and aesthetic medicine industry an asset, but not required
  • Newer graduates welcome to apply
