As the Senio r Manager, Capital Program Delivery you will be responsible for the development and construction of major capital projects of varying complexity and size, including tenant improvements.
The Senior Manager also provides strategic leadership to the capital growth and renewal programs, and tactical leadership to all aspects of the facility capital program and project delivery.
This is a full-time, 10-month contract role. This exciting role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office.
Travel to construction sites and in-person events or activities will be required of you.
A typical day will involve :
- Developing and overseeing the multi-year capital program, for the branch network and office space, in collaboration with Facilities Planning, Real Estate and MECE initiatives, and aligned with the asset management strategy
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive asset management strategy and operational plan, for all owned and leased properties
- Lead a team to deliver on the annual capital program, including overseeing all construction / renovation activities of Vancity retail premises within established design and planning guidelines, by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and contractors.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and refine capital project delivery processes, procedures and tools within the department, including a focus on project chartering, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, cost control measures, and risk / issue management.
- Serve as the department owner and champion for best practices in project management delivery.
- Represent Vancity in key contractual relationships regarding construction risk, law, performance and regulation.
- Reporting on the planning, progress, and completion of capital project, including the development and delivery of key performance metrics, budgeting and development and execution of internal and external communication strategies and plans.

You have :
- Undergraduate degree preferred in Engineering or Architecture. Professional designation is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in facilities construction delivery and team management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred
- Experience with construction contracts including CCDC contracts
Salary : The salary range for the role is $102,200 to $153,200 and a candidate’s offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($127,700) .
The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill.
