Summary

The Procurement Organization manages all aspects of sourcing & procurement within Bell Canada. The Procurement Department’s mission is to create value through its strategic role of providing best-in-class sourcing solutions while improving Bell Canada’s EBITDA through cost reductions.

We are seeking a candidate to join Bell Canada’s Procurement and Value Creation Organization as Category Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage portfolio of commercial contracts and vendor relationships within the corporate services team
  • Negotiate agreements and other legal documents, setting the terms and conditions for the provision of services
  • Lead sourcing initiatives utilizing Bell systems in the distribution and management of RFI, RFQ and RFP
  • Drive total cost of ownership reduction, through joint process improvements with supplier
  • Prepare / present presentation material for review at the senior management level
  • Identify leading practices from inside and outside of Bell for implementation / adoption
  • Implement and manage standard supplier performance management programs
  • Manage, perform quality control, and generate reports on spend data and other key indicators as required
  • Collaborate with internal clients to better serve their needs and identify opportunities for improvements

Critical Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with spend analysis techniques
  • Bilingual ; In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada
  • Understanding and expertise in data manipulation, sorting and analysis tools (Excel, SAP, Ivalua, etc.) is an asset
