Electrical Estimator

Top Tier Talent Group has partnered with a well-established, mid-sized electrical contractor supporting a diverse mix of industrial, commercial, and infrastructure-based projects across Western Canada.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join the team based out of the Calgary office . This individual will play a critical role in the pre-construction process, preparing accurate and competitive estimates that support successful project delivery and long-term profitability.

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for the full estimating cycle — from initial document review through bid submission and project handoff. You will work closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop detailed cost breakdowns and ensure all estimates align with project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope.
• Prepare detailed electrical takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Obtain and analyze pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Evaluate bid packages to ensure accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.
• Support bid strategy development and value engineering where applicable.
• Collaborate with project management teams during project handoff.
• Maintain estimating databases, pricing records, and historical cost data.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.
