Position : Garage Division – Sales & Project Coordinator

Northland Building Supplies Ltd. has been serving the community for over 30 years, specializing in garage packages and garage construction. Our business has been built on referrals, repeat customers, and a strong reputation for accuracy, transparency, and quality workmanship.
We are currently seeking an experienced Sales & Project Coordinator with a construction background who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Sales & Project Coordinator plays a key role in guiding customers through the garage design and construction process—from initial consultation and quoting to project coordination and final invoicing. This position ensures customers clearly understand what they are purchasing and receive exactly what was promised.
Core Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to assess needs, educate them on available options, and provide accurate information.
- Prepare material take-offs, estimates, and detailed garage quotes.
- Design garages based on customer requirements, engineering standards, building codes, and local bylaws.
- Prepare and manage contracts, change orders, and documentation.
- Coordinate trades, deliveries, and construction schedules.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions, monitor progress, and document builds.
- Enter customer orders, create purchase orders, track materials, and invoice completed jobs using ECI Spruce POS.
- Process customer payments and review trade invoices for approval.
- Maintain organized, accessible project files for team collaboration.
- Communicate confirmed, accurate information to customers at all times.
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and support ongoing sales.
Secondary / Support Responsibilities
Work with truss designers to coordinate roof truss designs.Monitor material and trade costs and update with garage price book updates.Perform an annual trades review.Assist with basic marketing tasks (e.g., Facebook posts, website review).Request customer reviews upon project completion.Required Qualifications & Skills
Technical diploma in Architecture, Design / Drafting, Construction Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in construction estimating and project coordination.Strong knowledge of construction terminology, building methods, and local codes.Experience performing material take-offs.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.Team-oriented with a commitment to transparency and accuracy.Willingness to travel to job sites as required.Assets (Not Required but Beneficial)
Experience with AutoCAD, MiTek, or similar design software.Experience using ECI Spruce POS.Familiarity with WordPress and basic website updates.Compensation & Benefits
Employment Type : Full-time, PermanentSchedule : Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (occasional weekends as needed)Wage : From $26.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)Benefits : Extended health care and dental coverage
