Manager, Financial Reporting
Our client is looking for a self starter to join their team in a 100% remote capacity as their Manager, Financial Reporting.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with the Company’s external reporting requirements, complex accounting research and collaborating with audit teams.
The role also involves partnering with the OneStream Lead Consultant to ensure proper consolidation of financial results and cross-collaboration with various finance functions.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- External Reporting Preparation and Consolidation
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of the company's quarterly and annual financial statements and MD&A in compliance with IFRS.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information by reviewing and analyzing account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
- IFRS Compliance and Technical Accounting
- Prepare detailed IFRS memos and documentation for complex and non-standard transactions, providing technical guidance and support to senior management and the wider finance team.
- Stay current with changes in IFRS standards and evaluate the impact on the company’s financial reporting.
- Collaboration with External Auditors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit process.
- Coordinate the collection and preparation of audit schedules, supporting documents, and responses to auditor inquiries.
- System and Process Management
- Work closely with the OneStream Lead Consultant to ensure the proper consolidation of financial results
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting process.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other finance functions (such as Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, and Treasury) to ensure alignment and consistency in financial reporting.
- Support the finance team in other areas as needed, including ad-hoc analysis, special projects, and strategic initiatives.
Your strengths include :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent designation required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably with a mix of public accounting and public company experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting skills, including multi-currency experience
- Proven experience consolidating with financial consolidation systems, preferably OneStream.
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
