Position SummaryReporting to the Director, Development and Communications, the Manager,Communications and Marketing is responsible for the development andimplementation of all communications and marketing strategies of Mon SheongFoundation. The incumbent will oversee the production of communicationsmaterials and marketing campaigns; increase the digitization of the Foundation’smarketing efforts; and collaborate with the rest of the Development andCommunications team to enhance Mon Sheong’s image while promoting its services,events, and fundraising needs.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implementcommunications and marketing initiatives to promote Mon Sheong’s work andelevate its brand image.Oversee the preparationof written communications such as feature articles, press releases, letters, andspeeches; marketing collateral such as flyers, posters, and brochures; andvarious publications such as newsletters, magazines, and annual reports.Lead the creation of newwebsites to ensure sufficient functionality and support is provided for theFoundation’s services, events, and fundraising initiatives.Manage strategy,activity, content, engagement, and advertising campaigns of social mediaaccounts to enhance the Foundation’s digital presence.Supervise mainstreammedia relations and media pitch activities. Work closely with theManager, Event Management to coordinate and execute Foundation events whileoverseeing the production of promotional materials and external communicationsto generate event publicity and coverage.Work closely with theManager, Resource Development to produce fundraising campaigns and assist inthe solicitation and stewardship of corporate sponsors, donors, and prospects.Collaborate withpromotional partners, vendors, and service providers for marketing activitiesas needed.Act as a liaison tofacilitate understanding between the Foundation and the community. Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.QualificationsPost-secondary education in marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, or equivalentWork experience in corporate communications and marketing, original writing and editing, and some public relationsStrong English and Chinese communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to translate between the two languages a definite assetStrong relationships with media across CanadaProven work experience in digital marketingExperience of contributing to fundraising proposalStrong management and leadership skillsDetail-oriented with demonstrated proofreading skillsExcellent time and project management skills with the ability prioritize and oversee multiple tasksAbility to think strategicallyProficient in Microsoft Office suiteValid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle an asset
