Job Description
Our client, a global Tier 1 automotive manufacturer, is looking to add a Materials Planner and Scheduler to their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials to meet production / customer requirements
- Analyze production resource requirements and available resources to ensure production schedules are feasible
- Maintain close relationships with customers by providing schedule commitments, manage changes and process material releases to the shop on a daily basis
- Monitor process flow to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Control and analysis of multiple and complex bill of materials in MRP Alignment of MRP and shop floor schedules based on the master production schedule
- Provide the automotive plant and suppliers with an executable schedule that achieves on-time delivery to the customer
- Operate in multiple shop floor and MRP related systems to ensure alignment between the programs and shop floor schedule
- Maintain and update production schedules with tools
- Analyze bottlenecks, compare plan and actual production performance and suggests proper corrective
- Review documents such as production schedules and work orders to determine material requirements and priorities
- Works closely with management to manage the material aspects of key programs.
Key Qualifications :
- Degree or diploma in materials, supply chain, purchasing, or related filed
- Track record of success in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with MRP

- Knowledge and understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, as well as materials planning and shop floor control
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
