Then, we have a great management role to present to you. We are currently looking for a Quality Manager to join a growing manufacturing facility in Brantford.

We are seeking someone with a industrial background preferably from steel or metal.

Position Overview :

Ensure the company's quality programs are implemented in full compliance with all regulatory, company, and customer requirements.

Provide strategic quality guidance, consultation, and support to the manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the plant Quality Management System by developing standards, implementing quality assurance policies, and ensuring compliance through tools, training, and instructions.
  • Manage all quality-related communications and training for plant employees.
  • Serve as the quality subject matter expert, overseeing vendor and subcontractor quality management.
  • Conduct Non-Conformance Report analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Document standards, inspection methods, testing, and evaluation procedures.
  • Plan and conduct internal and supplier quality assurance audits.
  • Support the Engineering team with tooling, equipment, new product design, and process control.
  • Lead and develop the QA team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education from an accredited university or Diploma in Quality Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of ISO Quality Standards and Quality Management Systems.
  • 10-15 years of experience in Quality Assurance Management, preferably in machining and assembly environments.
  • Knowledge of calibration procedures for measuring equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills (you'll be leading a team of 10-15) .
  • Certified and trained in quality auditing.
  • Experience presenting quality programs and issues to management.
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, including forging, heat treating, machining, and assembly.
  • Familiar with special processes such as galvanizing, painting, and coatings.
  • Proficient in using various testing and metrology equipment.
  • Understand and adhere to Quality Management Systems under ISO 9001 : 2008 standards.
  • Knowledgeable in APQP and PPAP methodologies.
  • Experienced in utilizing the 8D complaint response methodology.
  • Able to review and interpret customer specifications for quality requirements.
