Newcom Media Canada's leading B2B publisher, event producer, and continuing education provider is hiring a full-time graphic designer for Investment Executive, InvestmentExecutive.com, and Advisor.ca.

Joining our Creative Services team in Toronto, the successful candidate in this role will have the opportunity to apply creative, layout, and design skills in print and online environments - playing a hands-on role in producing a trusted national newspaper and its digital products.

Responsibilities for this role include :

• The layout and design of Investment Executive's seven print editions per year, including all pre-press activities.
• Working alongside an experienced editorial team to create reader-centric content.
• Designing, producing, and updating content as diverse as infographics, motion graphics, continuing education material, sales collateral, promotional material, video elements, and advertisements.
• Preparing creative briefs for individual projects and presenting design concepts to internal and external stakeholders, as required.
• Aligning designs with relevant branding elements, while also following industry-accepted online standards.
• Supporting layout, design, and creative activities across the broader organization.

Requirements for this role include :

• Post-secondary education in digital design, graphic design, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a professional graphic design role, preferably in the publishing sector.
• A working knowledge of graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
• Tracking time on tasks using digital timesheets.
• Working alongside team members who specialize in graphic design, web development, and content development.
• Knowledge of IAB Canada's digital advertising guidelines.

Our modern office in Toronto is within walking distance of the Kipling Station, and we offer a hybrid workplace that requires at least two days a week in our office.
