Vertex is growing and were looking for a Class 1 Operator with experience operating Semi-Vacs Combo Vacs Pressure Trucks and Hot Oilers to join our Nisku Alberta team. Were seeking a local candidate from the Nisku area. This is a great opportunity to work close to home for a candidate that takes pride in their work are reliable and have a strong commitment to safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures health and safety procedures Department of Transportation and hazardous materials / waste requirements and regulations
  • Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs dispatch and trip reports and time sheets
  • Follow all local provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any inefficiency to Supervisor
  • Safely observe all company operating guidelines and procedures
  • Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines

    • Candidate Qualifications

  • Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex)
  • Valid Class 1 drivers license with a clean commercial drivers abstract
  • Minimum of 1 year Class 1 driving experience
  • Minimum of 1 year within the oilfield experience
  • 1 - 2 years of experience operating Semi Vacs and Combo Vacs (preferred but willing to train)
  • 1 - 2 years of experience operating Pressure Trucks and Hot Oilers (preferred but willing to train)
  • ELD logbook experience
  • Possess H2S Alive First Aid and CSO safety tickets
  • Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
  • Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
  • Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
  • Integrity and reliability willing to accept out of town work when applicable / necessary

  • Possess CSTS 2020 Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry & Monitor safety tickets
