Smart Contract Security Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Smart Contract Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in blockchain technology, particularly in smart contract development and security.

In this role, you will be instrumental in developing smart contracts for various chains and ensuring the security and integrity of our cross-chain messaging protocol and applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test smart contracts for Axelar’s cross-chain messaging protocol and applications for various chains (EVM, Cosmos etc.).
• Conduct comprehensive security audits of smart contracts to identify and address vulnerabilities.
• Establish security processes for deployments, and operations of smart contracts.
• Collaborate with other internal and external teams to integrate smart contracts in a seamless and secure manner.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Development experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one smart contract VM (EVM / Solidity, Solana / Rust, Cosmos / Cosmwasm, Sui / Move etc).
• Proven experience with security audits and / or creating security processes for smart contracts, blockchains, messaging protocols, etc.
• Familiarity with cryptography, zero knowledge proofs is a plus.
• Familiarity with Rust is a strong plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new challenges.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
