Job Title : Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Course Instructor
Location : Edwards Air Force Base, CA
Job Type : Part-Time
Duties :
- Deliver comprehensive ISSO training to up to 15 students, including hands-on computer labs and exercises.
- Instruct on implementing, assessing, and monitoring technical security controls within RMF environments.
- Teach roles and responsibilities of an ISSO, covering system auditing, incident handling, and compliance reviews.
- Guide students in documentation creation (e.g., SSP, RAR, SAR, POA&M) and conducting security scans (SCC, ACAS).
- Provide mentorship and evaluate student performance to ensure proficiency in ISSO responsibilities.
Requirements :
- Extensive experience as an ISSO within DoD and SAP environments.
- Strong knowledge of RMF, JSIG, and cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Experience in delivering technical training with hands-on components.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
