Adult Volleyball Coach

Role Description

This role, based in Calgary, AB, involves coaching adult volleyball players of varying skill levels (beginner, intermediate, competitive, and high‑performance). As an Adult Volleyball Coach, you will create and lead engaging practice sessions focusing on technical skill development, tactical strategies, and injury prevention. Tasks include planning practice, providing personal constructive feedback, fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive team environment, collaboration with other coaches, and supporting the goals of each participant.

Commitment

As little as 1 day / week (2 hour practice for a 12 week session) to as many sessions desired.

Qualifications

• Previous volleyball coaching experience (youth and / or adult)
• NCCP Certification preferred
• Post‑Secondary Education in Health, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sport, or Equivalent Considered an Asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with athletes and fostering a positive team culture
• Passion for volleyball and a commitment to supporting players of all ability levels
• Ability to provide a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment
