Part Time Professor, Social Service Worker
Position Summary
Cambrian College’s Schools of Justice, Community Services and General Studies requires part-time Professors to teach within the Social Service Worker program beginning September 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities
Required :
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application).
- Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
- Five years of demonstrated work experience working within community development.
- Proven ability to provide leadership, to think critically, and to communicate effectively in a professional manner.
- Ability to be an effective role model in the classroom.
- Ability to utilize creative teaching approaches and current and emerging teaching and learning strategies to enhance student progress.
- Possess good organizational skills and sound computer software skills.
- Ability to function within a team environment.
Additional Assets / Preferred :
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Experience in community development
- Available to teach during the day
- Experience in Indigenous Study
- Previous teaching experience at the postsecondary level
