Your mission should you accept it :

The Wind Turbine Technician Foreperson is a safety-minded worker that has wind farm construction industry experience and access to reliable transportation.

Theschedules are subject to variations depending on the project needs and delays. Theideal candidates are positive leaders, self starters, responsible andteam-oriented individuals.

The Foreperson works closely with hisSuperintendent, is assisting in the assignation of duties to subtrades and is monitoringthe progress of the project.

• Technical certifications / card / diploma, in a related construction trade, required according to the laws and regulations of the work location
• Three to five years of construction industry experience (experience in wind farm construction and / or wind turbine commissioning would be considered a strong asset)
• Valid drivers' license
• Good physical condition, good reflexes, functional senses and strength
• Ability to effectively lead team members towards a common goal or task
• Comfortable working in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
• Ability to work in teams and communicate both verbally and written
• Ability to solve problems and good decision-making skills
• Manage to handle emergency situations, work under pressure and stress

What you will do to complete this mission successfully :

• Assist the Superintendent in determining any site needs regarding materials and supplies.
• Assist, along with Superintendent, in establishing manpower needs.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of the crew you oversee and ensure the quality of production while respecting the construction requirements, Quality Plan and safety standards.
• Ensure safe working conditions of the site workers, and report any concerns or issues to the Superintendent and / or Health and Safety Advisor;
• Address and resolve problems in collaboration with his superintendent.
• Ensure that all safety rules are followed on the site.
• Ensure that the Job Hazard Analysis is in place on his specific site.
• Systematically carry out inspections before the commencement of the work.
• Ensure that productivity is respected and optimized.
• Receive delivered materials on site in accordance with established procedures; verifies and stores materials as needed.
• Evaluate logistical needs weekly, prepare requisitions, and inform the logistics department of any need according to procedures.
