Home and Community Coordinator
The Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion provides a range of supports and services to people with developmental Home and Community services is looking for a coordinator to oversee a supported living home.
Coordinators at BACI oversee teams, leading and coaching staff and working directly with residents to ensure a good life for the people who receive full supports in their home.
This position oversees multiple staff teams working in different programs.
Position : Regular Full-Time Coordinator
Hours : 37.5 hours per week Schedule : Tuesday - Saturday flexible schedule required
Salary : $41.23
Description :
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Support people served to identify the goals which will move them on the path to lead their ideal life
- Create and maintain support plans.
- Coach staff to understand and implement the principles of person-centered thinking and doing
- Coach staff on implementing goals and measuring progress.
- Work collaboratively with staff, families, people supported, professionals and community members.
- Manage staff teams which includes training and evaluating staff performance, as well as ensuring a positive workplace dynamic.
- Budget and organize the home.
- Ability to schedule multiple staff teams using ADP Workforce Now. Education & Qualifications :
- Previous experience in a supervisory position
- Bachelors degree, or Diploma in Human Services or related equivalent of education and experience will be considered.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and use of personal vehicle required.
- This position requires First Aid, TB screen / self-assessment, Vaccination status disclosure
