A typical day would involve :
- Provide quality service and solutions specific to the existing life insurance policies in order to minimize risk to policyholders, insurance providers, and Vancity.
- Apply a service standard of responding to policyholders in a timely manner to mitigate any escalations or diminish the organizations reputational risk.
- Liaise with the relevant insurance carriers to keep up to date with the policy or product changes to assist with the maintenance of the existing policies.
- Apply compliance and risk standards, policies, procedures, and controls to meet regulatory requirements and mitigate risk.
You have :
- A subject-matter expert you possess significant knowledge in your functional area and ensure to keep updated with the most relevant developments in your space.
- A Strong Communicator - with an ability to utilize your interpersonal skills to provide highly specialized expertise and advice, address challenges and issues.
You are :
Minimum 2 years (ideally 5 years) of experience in Financial Services, with at least two years of experience working directly with customers / members;
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong exposure & confidence in working with customers & clients over the phone (e.g. former experience in inbound or outbound calls)
- Post Secondary Education / Diploma
- A working knowledge of financial and insurance products.
- Eligibility or Current Possession of Life License Qualification Program (LLQP)

The salary range for the role is $49,700 to $74,500 and a candidate’s offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($62,100) .
The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill.
