Registered Nurse, Operating Room

Overview

The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42 / Hr. – CAD $55.91 / Hr. Mount St. Joseph Hospital is seeking dedicated and compassionate perioperative registered nurses to join our casual pool in the Ophthalmology Procedure Rooms. Our facility features three specialized procedure rooms, handling approximately 50 cases daily. Patients receive light sedation and are discharged the same day. The diverse range of procedures includes cataract surgeries, corneal transplants, and minor ophthalmic plastic surgeries.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Nurse, you'll be at the forefront of patient care, working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients / residents receive comprehensive support. Your responsibilities will include :

• Assess patients\' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Incorporate teaching into care plans to educate patients and families.
• Make referrals to resources as needed.
• Support fellow healthcare professionals.
• Operate within the framework of Providence Health Care\'s mission, vision, and values.
