Part Time Temporary Educational Assistant

St. Gregory Catholic School is a Kindergarten to Grade 4 School

St. Gregory Catholic School in Hinton, AB is currently seeking an Educational Assistant to assist students with diverse academic and social / emotional needs.

The assignment is for a part time 0.5 FTE position and commences on December 4, 2024 and ends June 27, 2025 of the 2024-2025 school year.

Salary range $18.98 - $26.83 as per Support Terms and Conditions of Employment.

Preference Given to Candidates with the Following Qualifications :

Experience utilizing strength-based, trauma informed practices

Experience working with students with diverse needs

Able to effectively deal with crisis situation; physically able to lift and / or protect

Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments training

Mental Health First Aid or equivalent

Diploma in child / youth care, Educational Assistant Certificate and experience with Speech / Language Assistance are assets.

Any levels of Early Childhood Education are also an asset.
