Job Description
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Client Support and Engagement :
- Assist clients connect with recovery meetings such as AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), NA (Narcotics Anonymous), LifeRing, and SMART Recovery, ensuring they are prepared and transported safely.
- Facilitate therapeutic group activities on weekends to engage clients and provide support for their recovery journey.
- Promote positive interactions between clients and the community.
- Assist clients strengthen and develop their support network by facilitating visits with family members and friends.
2. Documentation and Record-Keeping :
Document client behavior, progress, and interactions accurately, maintaining detailed records as per program protocols.Ensure timely and thorough completion of required documentation related to client care and program activities.Safety and Facility OversightConduct regular rounds of the facility to ensure safety and security, addressing any concerns promptly and appropriately.Monitor and maintain a safe environment for clients and staff, following program guidelines and protocols.3. Case Management and Team Collaboration :
Participate actively in the case management team, providing updates and insights on client progress, needs, and challenges.Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients.Administrative SupportAssist with administrative tasks as directed, such as organizing client files, preparing reports, or assisting with program scheduling.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and procedures in all administrative tasks.4. Professional Development :
Engage in core addictions training and professional development opportunities, including programs such as Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) and other relevant training initiatives.Stay updated on best practices in addiction treatment and recovery to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.5. Teamwork and Liaison Services :
Collaborate with the treatment program team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of client information.Coordinate and plan group outings and activities for clients.Participate in client interventions with a multidisciplinary case management team.Attend clinical supervision, team meetings, and training as directed.Participate in on-going program assessment, review, and evaluation.Support treatment staff with itemizing and storing clients’ belongings.Facilitate communication and coordination with community partners, government agencies, and various program staff within the ARC (e.g., CRF, Housing and Support Services, Facilities, Spiritual Care Coordinator, Finance and Administration).Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and community outreach efforts to promote program services and resources.Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders to enhance client support and access to community resources.CRITICAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

Education and Experience Qualifications
Education, Qualifications and Certifications
2-year diploma or equivalent coursework in substance abuse and mental health is required.Must complete a reliability security clearance including a criminal record check.Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements
Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and / or substance abuse disorder is required for this position.Skills and Capabilities (examples provided below) :
Previous experience in intake coordination, admissions, or case management in a behavioral health or substance abuse treatment setting is an asset.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and build relationships with participants, referring agencies, and community partners.Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and provide support to participants.Strong written communication skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.Knowledge of substance abuse disorders, treatment modalities, and recovery principles.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.Compassionate and non-judgmental approach to working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders.Proficiency in computer applications, including electronic health record systems and case management databases.Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $26.95 to $27.45 with a maximum of $27.95.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
