Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited is seeking a motivated and diligent professional to manage the security activities at Starlight Casino, ensuring compliance with provincial alcohol and gaming regulations and all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safety and security of employees, patrons, and company assets.
• Ensure all aspects of the Security department meet and / or exceed casino and regulator standards, policies, and procedures, and improve processes, standards, customer service, and team morale.
• Manage and participate in security team activities and shifts by leading, training, mentoring, evaluating, and providing feedback as appropriate.
• Develop and manage staff to achieve high levels of performance and customer service; oversee human resources issues, performance, safety, and recruitment needs of the department.
• Conduct investigations, determine findings, and inform casino management, regulatory bodies, and police.
• Respond to major occurrences such as fire alarms, bomb threats, and evacuations.
• Maintain building access and egress controls; coordinate evacuation and other departmental initiatives with casino staff.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of company policies, procedures, and provincial / local regulations for casino operations.
• Maintain liaison with the management team and participate in casino initiatives.
• Network with internal and external industry contacts and regulatory agencies.
• Develop and control the departmental budget, monitor overtime, track scheduled hours, and manage operational expenses.
