The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and economic planning and operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Engineer to support and expand forecasting and analytical activities within our Grid Analytics (GA) team. GA is a cross-functional team that is responsible for analytics of the transmission system, forecasting support, and performing data-intensive engineering studies that focus on the interaction between the electricity market and the transmission system, including congestion and capability assessments.
In this position, you will support and expand probabilistic engineering assessments and analytical activities. It is a great opportunity for a data and electricity industry enthusiast interested in advancing the AESO’s ability to analyze the transmission system. It plays an essential role in executing and advancing predictive analytics methodology, tools, and applications to enhance Grid Reliability practices and inform decision-making.
