S. military veterans. Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on trailer refrigeration units.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace defective parts, such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, fans, hoses, belts, and electronic controls.

Ensure that all repairs meet or exceed manufacturer’s specifications and company standards. Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation regarding maintenance and repairs.

Manage inventory of parts and supplies. Adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Provide excellent customer service, communicating clearly and professionally with drivers and fleet managers.

Stay up to date with the latest industry technology and repair techniques through ongoing education and training. Assist other mechanics as needed Talent Requirements Technical degree or certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field preferred.

Proven experience as a refrigeration mechanic, specifically with trailer units. Understanding of transportation refrigeration operation and microprocessor control systems.

Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. 608 Certification. Basic computer skills as it applies to diagnostic tooling.

Valid Driver's License Work Environment The duties required of a Hirschbach Trailer Refrigeration Technician typically takes place in a variety of locations from the repair shop to outdoor environments, and potentially in inclement weather conditions.

Noise and temperature extremes may be encountered.
