Design Technologist

Position Overview : Structural or Civil Design Technologist

We are in particular need of a Structural or Civil Design Technologist with between 2 to 5 years of experience in :

• Development of design sketches for civil and structural projects
• Preparation of engineered drawings in AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D
• Performing field reviews
• Writing reports for structural assessments and field reviews

The successful candidate will have graduated from a recognized civil technologist program.

Projects will include all types of structural and civil works, including industrial and commercial buildings, resource sector and highway bridges, machine bases and foundations, sanitary and storm water drainage systems, subdivisions, site development and utility services and miscellaneous municipal projects.

You will be expected to work reasonably independent on assigned tasks, but under the guidance of more senior technologists and engineers.

As well, you will collaborate with other staff members, on projects of all types.

This position includes working in a modern, well equipped consulting engineering office with the opportunity for occasional field work, including travel around beautiful central and northern British Columbia, and occasionally Alberta, Yukon, and Saskatchewan.
