Overview
We are currently seeking candidates for the role of System Integration Product Developer I , within our "Centre of Excellence" collaboration dedicated to developing new and innovative products through extensive research and understanding of cannabis with a focus on research and development.
Reporting to the System Integration Product Developer II of the New Categories Programme Team, you will develop new category technology products from concept to commercialization with a focus on human safety, well‑being and consumer experience.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of integral testing aspects of the development of Vapour Devices within the team in a dynamic business environment.
- Lead project management activities : own the Vapour Device PLM checklist, ensure stage‑gate requirements are met, manage timelines and communicate options & scenarios with internal stakeholders & external suppliers.
- Ensure relevant & new device development processes & W&Os are integrated.
- Engage Organigram Operations team during development process ensuring communication of any key requirements, processes, machinery & planning.
- Collaborate & communicate with new & existing T1 Device suppliers on new innovations.
- Ensure completion of Vapour Device / System DVTs where applicable, analyse product performance data & generate product offering recommendations.
- Review third‑party design, development, quality / compliance and manufacturing documentation.
- Support IP to best protect the product development where necessary.
- Manage & continuously improve R&D hardware spaces.
- Support other Product Development teams where required.
- Creative problem solving using strong critical thinking – present to the management team concepts, root cause, solutions and planning.
- Present to key stakeholders in a cross‑cultural environment.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Business).Experience collaborating with suppliers.Experience preparing and managing technical specifications.Experience with executing prototyping and testing proof of concept.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technical workstreams in parallel.Knowledge in CAD considered an asset (SolidWorks, ProE, Autodesk).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.Project management experience required.Effective time‑management skills and ability to multi‑task.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.Work model
