Bilingual Licensed Funeral Director

Our client is a full-service funeral, cremation and celebration of life services provider which serves the National Capital region.

They are looking for a full-time Bilingual Licensed Funeral Director to join their team based in Ottawa, Ontario.

Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include :

• Meeting with families to help them plan the service and confirming all the arrangements
• Assisting families with their questions / concerns and guiding them through the arrangement process
• Arranging and conducting funeral and memorial services in a professional, organized and compassionate manner
• Providing all available services and options to families
• Adhering to all company and regulatory requirements
• Ensuring everything runs smoothly during the ceremony
• Organizing flowers, transport and obituaries
• Managing the legal documents, contracts and collection of payment
• Other duties as required

Qualifications :

• French / English Bilingualism is required
• Funeral Director license, Class 1 License required
• The ability to build and maintain positive relationships
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
• High level of compassion and integrity
• Ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license
