Adheco Ltd. is adding a new Equipment Operator to its growing team in Scarborough, Ontario. The Warehouse Associate will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and other staff to operate several different types of rotating and reciprocating converting equipment in Adheco’s 20,000 sqft adhesive and tape warehouse with efficiency and safety in mind.

Hours : Monday Friday 8 : 30am to 4 : 30pm
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate and troubleshoot various converting equipment, such as :
- Rotary Die Cutting machine ; used to rapidly cut materials into custom designs via a rotating die.
- Computer controlled Baloney Tape Slitter ; used to manufacture custom width tape rolls.
- CNC Flashcutter ; used to cut out large custom designs on a vacuum table with computer-aided-design tools.
- Sheffield Chopper ; used to manufacture bulk custom pieces with straight edge cuts.
- Hydraulic Flatbed Steel-Rule Die Press ; use to create custom parts out of thick or rigid materials.
- Clamshell Steel-Rule Die Press ; unique hydraulic press with the ability to kiss-cut materials.
- Rewind Table ; used to rewind tape rolls into custom lengths on a new core.
- Successful candidates will be comfortable with the following :
- Creation of custom jigs to help enhance manufacturing productivity (e.g. maintaining material alignment, applying tension to flexible materials, unloading finished pieces, etc).
- Using common hand tools like wrenches, screwdrivers, allen keys, lubricating oil, tapes, clamps, etc. to change equipment fittings or troubleshoot.
- Learning new things with minimal oversight or formal training.
- Documenting the work completed, tools used and techniques used to complete a job.
- Taking a hands-on approach to finding new solutions and better ways to do things.
Qualifications :
- Highschool diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education preferred but not required).
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A common sense approach to problem solving
- Physically fit. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude. Experience troubleshooting equipment and problem solving .
- Current Raymond Reach forklift license is preferred but not necessary.
- Honesty, reliability and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Ability to follow Adheco’s ISO9001 quality procedures.
