Job Description

A leading financial institution in Canada is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Consultant to enhance our cybersecurity risk management framework.

This consultant will play a crucial role in the coordination, analysis, and reporting of cyber risk across various teams, providing strategic insights to senior executives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the coordination of reporting processes and protocols within the Cyber team.
  • Participate in governance meetings to gather and assess monthly metrics and results.
  • Analyze metrics and qualitative findings from assurance and testing activities to articulate a comprehensive cyber risk narrative.
  • Develop and present detailed cybersecurity risk reports, providing a comprehensive view of the organization's cyber health to the Chief Information Security Officer and other executives.
  • Create consistent narratives and presentations tailored for different audiences, including Cyber Directors and the Chief Information Security Officer.
  • Foster effective communication across Architecture and Assurance, Access Management, Monitoring and Response, and Awareness and Strategy teams to ensure integrated risk and metrics reporting.
  • Build a stronger risk culture within the Cyber Division through training and the implementation of risk governance.

Qualifications :

  • University degree or college diploma in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISM, CRISC.
  • At least seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity risk management and metric analysis.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management and governance within cybersecurity.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including the executive level.
  • Strong experience in creating and presenting high-quality, informative materials (e.g., PowerPoint, Canvas).
  • Excellent ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.

Technical Requirements :

  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as per Canadian-approved vaccines; proof required before onsite entry.
  • Own a computer or laptop that meets the following : Windows 10 (20H2 or later) or Windows 11, rights for software installation for Azure Virtual Desktop, available USB A port, high-speed internet connection.
  • Smartphone capable of supporting Microsoft Authenticator with appropriate connectivity for second-factor verification.
