We are currently recruiting a Shift Supervisor for a Tier 1 Automotive organization located in the Etobicoke area.
The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that employees are following all safety polices and procedures of the organization.
Ensuring that the team is performing well on the production, maintaining a positive team morale and guidance.
Responsibilities :
- Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to team members
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their strengths and capabilities
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team and individuals
- Manage resources efficiently to meet team objectives
- Assess the performance of team members and provide feedback
- Recognize and reward achievements and contributions
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and between other departments
- Communicate with team members and upper management
- Assist the team navigate challenges and solve problems collaboratively
- Monitoring and reporting on KPI’s in relation to departmental goals, and be proactive on ways to continuously improve within the department and team
- Ensure procedures are being followed and implement corrective actions when necessary
Qualifications :
- Post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of Supervisory roles, Manufacturing industry is an asset
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Well versed in setting targets, allocating work to employees, and communicating clear instructions
- Demonstrated ability to use KPI’s to drive business objectives and operational excellence
- Proven problem-solving skills and conflict resolution
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Working experience in the automotive industry is an asset
