Position Overview : We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator with a proven track record in high-rise construction.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating and a strong portfolio of high-rise projects.

This role is critical to our project planning and execution, requiring a thorough understanding of high-rise trades and the ability to provide accurate and competitive cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Estimation :

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for high-rise construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Identify and quantify all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for project completion.

Bid Management :

  • Lead the preparation and submission of competitive bids for high-rise construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure bid accuracy.
  • Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier bids to determine the most cost-effective options.

Cost Analysis :

  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments for high-rise construction projects.
  • Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety.
  • Maintain and update historical cost data and unit price databases for high-rise trades.

Project Coordination :

  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure estimates align with project goals and schedules.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings to clarify project scope and address any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and scope reviews to ensure accurate and fair agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.

Reporting and Documentation :

  • Prepare detailed reports, including cost breakdowns, assumptions, and justifications for estimates.
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation.
  • Monitor and report on project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.

g., LEED AP, PMP) are a plus.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on high-rise projects.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in high-rise construction trades.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
