POSITION SUMMARY :

As the District Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and profitability of both the front store and pharmacy operations within the assigned district.

This role drives results to maximize pharmacy business growth and performance while also providing leadership and coaching to our store leaders.

The District Director is a strong company ambassador who can motivate and mobilize their team to perform at the highest standards.

They will work cross functionally in the field and with the Support Center to enhance patient care, productivity and ensure a robust talent pipeline for their market.

This role is the corporate resource to Store Operators, Partners, Pharmacy Managers, Front Store Managers and Pharmacists to maximize profitability and operational targets through internal collaboration, high quality standards in processes and services and effective community relations to foster customer experience and growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Included but not limited to :

People Leadership :

  • Work with pharmacy managers and pharmacy teams to ensure consistency of operational standards, pharmacy services, execution of Pharmacy initiatives and programs, achieve targets and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Understands each pharmacy’s potential growth and financial achievement within its given marketplace.
  • Works with stores and corporate stakeholders on issues relating to pharmacy practice and patient care including college inspections, suspected narcotic losses, medication errors and IT dispensary concerns, to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Works with front store managers to optimize front store sales, merchandizing, and customer experience, collaborate to implement marketing and promotional activities, develop & execute strategies to achieve financial targets, analyze areas of improvement and cost control.
  • Ensure Pharmacy and Pharmacy Manager compliance with all applicable legal, professional, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources teams to identify and develop potential Store Leaders and provide proposals and recommendations to the Regional VP (or designate) and senior management team within the region.
  • Understand the individual development of current team members and the identification of candidates for advancement in consultation with the Regional VP (or designate).
  • Ensures each Pharmacy and Front Store is adhering to and is aligned with the company’s commitment to customer service levels and execution of measures to improve customer service experience and satisfaction.

Business Development

  • Lead in accountability for the success of Pharmacy and Front Store Operations and profitability of all stores in your assigned region and support the Regional Manager, Business Operations in the vision development for the pharmacy.
  • Lead analysis of store EBITDA, Rx Count and Margin, Front Store Margin, store wages and G&A expenses to monitor financial success of each location, highlight potential growth areas, and ensure the pharmacy managers are on target to meet common year plan goals.
  • Lead in the achievement of operational metrics and responsible for financial planning activities including monitoring profit and loss statements, implementing measures to attain target metrics script count, pharmacy margin, labour, Clinical Services Revenue (CSR) and monitoring cost to fill prescriptions and support the Regional Manager, Business Operations in the communication of these metrics.
  • Lead in the monitoring of Pharmacy business systems in each location to highlight and recommend opportunities for improvement in overall workflow.
  • Collaborates with Regional Operations Manager and Pharmacy Clinical Director on vision and communicates action plans to successfully implement Corporate Pharmacy initiatives efficiently.

Business Planning and Reporting

  • Collaborating with Regional Operations Manager and Pharmacy Clinical Director to set pharmacy operations strategies and tactical plans that accomplish company goals and facilitate business evolution.
  • Provide strategies to the pharmacy teams to manage and grow the existing relationship of the business with doctors in the existing medical clinics / buildings.
  • Collaborating and actively participating with and / or in Ambassador groups as it relates to program development and best practices.
  • Participating in the annual budgeting process for both Pharmacy and Front Store Operations.
  • Partnering with Strategy Team members on key strategic initiatives to enhance the patient experience, improve productivity and drive growth.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or related business administration or project management.
  • Proven experience in pharmacy central operations and project / change management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software and technology.
  • Frequent travel across regional district is necessary for the role.
