Our client's M&M (mining & metals) team is a global leader in studying, engineering, and executing projects, redefining project delivery models and embracing innovative technologies.
You'll play a key role in delivering engineering to our client's high safety and quality standards, leading multi-disciplined teams for EPC or EPCM projects across North America, European Union, Asia, and South America.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the engineering effort on assigned projects, coordinating Engineering Discipline Leads and Project Document and Data Management (PDDM) Lead for a cost-effective project solution.
- Direct and manage interface between Engineering and other project disciplines.
- Translate global strategic initiatives into project procedures.
- Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques for the most efficient project solution.
- Ensure timely completion of engineering work, meeting quality standards, and adhering to budgets.
- Collaborate with Discipline Leads and Engineering Department Managers to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Act as a liaison with Process Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management, Procurement and Contracts, Construction, and client teams.
Basic Job Requirements :
- Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in engineering with sixteen years of work-related experience.
- Professional certification or registration in applicable field, if required.
- Demonstrated experience in designing mineral processing facilities.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Client and results-oriented with a can-do attitude.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to see both big picture and fine details.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable statutes and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Professional registration.
- Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, material costs, and availability.
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering stages from conceptual phase to commissioning.
- Effort-hour estimating, staff forecasting, project set-up, progress reporting, and close-out experience.
- Practical field experience.
- Intermediate computer and software skills.
