Job Summary :
Lead a team of management professionals responsible for the overall performance and operations of Ontario Central Fill Pharmacy.
Section A - Specific Responsibilities :
Ensures the Ontario Central Fill site is compliant with all SOP’s that are related to Health Canada Narcotics License and the College of Pharmacist regulations.
Develops, implements and ensures service and that KPI’s levels meet the needs of all the customers in the market he or she is responsible for, in compliance with signed agreements.
Develops and implements operational development strategies for controlling operating costs for the Ontario Central Fill site, including, among others things, facility and handling costs, the cost of capital procurement and delivery services.
In conjunction with the Ontario Pharmacy Managers, develops the implementation of plans for meeting specific performance and efficiency goals associated with Ontario Central Fill operations.
Drafts, obtains approval, and administers the budget for the 0perations and ensure that budget targets are met.
Participates in strategic development and planning activities as well as in the implementation of activities and programs identified by the senior leadership team.
Responsible for ensuring that the Ontario Central Fill technology is used properly and efficiently and identifies opportunities for IT development and process efficiency.
Responsible for ensuring that safety measures are consistently followed for both Ontario Central Fill locations he or she is responsible for.
Responsible for ensuring that SOPs reflect the operational reality across both Ontario Central Fill sites.
Assists with Business Development activities seminars, trade conferences, RFPs, etc.
Effectively manages effective forecasting including, but not limited to, incoming volume, workforce scheduling and related SLA’s.
Coaches and develops direct reports through regularly scheduled coaching sessions and provides development opportunities.
Trains employees and evaluates their performance. Encourages and supports their professional development.
Ensures workforce is engaged through effective communication, performance management, and recognition.
In conjunction with Human Resources and department managers, promotes a productive work environment for all employees and management staff.
Regularly review P&L budget to ensure the business units remain on track.
Promotes and maintains employee engagement. Develops action plan to address survey outcomes.
Plans the activities of staff reporting to him or her, evaluates results, and takes appropriate steps to improve individual performance.
Identifies the human resources needed to do the work, delegates appropriate responsibilities and authority to employees reporting to him or her and recommends organizational changes as needed.
Ensures solid communication with all levels of the organization.
Creates, develops and maintains a corporate culture that fosters continuous improvement.
Authorizes requests, expenses and other financial transactions under his or her responsibility and protects the company's profits and assets from loss and waste.
Section B - Position Requirements :
University degree in Pharmacy.
Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the College of Pharmacist is required.
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of senior management experience.
Experienced with managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiar with centralized compliance packaging workflow and operations.
Capacity to interact with all levels of the organization.
Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze results and respond effectively and efficiently.
Strong leadership and mentorship skills; self-starter, decisive and results oriented.
Management skills with a focus on results.
Willingness to travel between Ontario Central Fill sites and corporate head office within Mississauga.
Strong organization and communication skills.
Strong focus on Customer Service and commitment to customer satisfaction.
