Job Type : Full-Time, 7 : 00am-3 : 00pm Monday-Friday (Occasional overtime on evenings and weekends may be required)
Job Location : Burnaby, B.C. New Westminster, B.C. and possible other locations in the future
Salary : $85K / Year. Salary based on experience and skills demonstrated during probationary period
Reports To : Construction and Maintenance manager
Industrial Mechanic role :
The successful candidate will be experienced in industrial construction and machinery maintenance. Someone who is eager to learn and is hard working while following our core values of teamwork, safety and innovation.
You will be part of a team working with production operators, electricians, plumbers, engineers and metal fabricators / welders.
All working towards rapid completion of our Demonstration plant. Upon construction completion the candidate will be focused on preventative maintenance and continuous improvements for the process line.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic.
- The ability to inspect, troubleshoot, decommission, repair or replace, and install various equipment.
- Hands on experience with construction equipment and machinery
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision to identify and solve complex problems.
- An eye for detail.
- Post secondary certification in a relevant trade is an asset.
- Experience in a maintenance role.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
- Must disclose any previous injuries that may prevent employee from completing their duties.
- Must pass company medical and background checks.
Work Conditions :
- This is an electrochemical, industrial, process type plant. Much of the work is indoors and frequent walking, bending, crouching, squatting, climbing ladders, etc. may be required.
- The ability to complete assigned safety training and follow pH7 Technologies safe work policies and practices are conditions of employment.
